1969
Establishment of Electromatic Constructions Ltd as a private limited company with the goal to provide reliable solutions in the distribution and control of electricity.

1978
Introduction to the Cyprus market of the revolutionary, for the time, power factor correction equipment and other energy conservation systems.

1980
This decade brings continued growth to the Company and strengthens its leadership in the local market.  Various Middle East projects are contracted adding new valuable clients to an already wide clientelle.

1988
Gregoris Markitanis acquires total control of the Company.  Key to Electromatic’s further expansion is the winning of a tender for the supply and commissioning of 27 fully automatic PLC controlled pumping stations for the Southern Conveyor – an important government irrigation project.  By employing the latest electronic technology, Electromatic successfully completes the project thus proving its ability to undertake large and complex contracts.

1993
Winning of a tough international competition for the supply and commissioning of large mobile electrocentres, including distribution and control of 11 / 0,66 / 0,38 KV circuits and alarm annunciators with full air-conditioning system in Jordan.  Following this large scale overseas project, Electromatic has undertaken and successfully completed several important projects abroad.

1996
The company builds and moves to its new modern headquarters and production plant outside Nicosia, at Latsia.  Facilities create an excellent working environment.

1998
Electromatic Constructions Ltd receives the Quality Certification ISO9001.  The Company starts procedures receiving the Certification for OSHAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment).

2000
While expanding into new fields, Electromatic continues to be the island’s leader in the distribution and control of electricity and automation solutions with approximately 48% local market share.  The company receives the Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Certification OSHAS 18001: 1999, being the first Cypriot company accredited with this. 2002
The Audeh Group becomes a strategic partner, acquiring 50% of the Company’s share capital.  In view of Cyprus accession into the European Union, Electromatic completes the necessary procedures for applying the CE marking on its products and issuing the relevant declaration of conformity. 2004
Building on its success in the local market, the Company forms Electromatic North-East Ltd in Bulgaria and establishes a European Sales Office in Denmark in order to expand its operations in the Balkans and other European countries.

2005
After fierce competition, the winning of a high expenditure eleven year contract for the installation and maintenance of the traffic enforcement camera system in Cyprus, consisting of 450 installation sites in towns and highways, is considered a great success and provides the base for further expansion in the field of large scale technological projects.
